Biography

I am incredibly fortunate to have a supportive family. My wife and two children bring joy to my life, along with a mischievous dog who keeps us on our toes. Outside of work and school, I dedicate my time to them.

My healthcare journey began at the age of 20, when I started as an ER Secretary. Over the years, I advanced to an ER Tech and eventually became a Registered Nurse, specializing in emergency and pre-hospital medicine. My 9.5 years of service in the Army Reserve have been integral to my professional growth, instilling core values that guide my practice today. After leaving the emergency department, I fulfilled a long-standing ambition by becoming a Flight Nurse. Recently, I transitioned back into the hospital setting, where I now serve as a House Supervisor, overseeing patient flow and rapid response coordination.

At 38, I am excited to be two semesters away from graduating with my doctorate, with an expected graduation in May 2025.
